Lena Smith Band

“Melodic songs that brings to mind a host of possible influences that more than nods back to a bygone era of Joni Mitchell and some elements of Christine McVie/Fleetwood Mac. [...] With bands like this coming up through the ranks, the future of music is in safe hands” - Ellie Hudson-Hopton

The Lena Smith Band was founded by singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Lena Smith in 2011 with record producer husband Stu Welsh on Guitars and good friend Marcin Dubiel on Bass. The band has been through many iterations to reach it's current line-up with Lena's sister Kathryn on Vocals, Saxophones and Melodica and Stu's sister Jo on vocals and guitar backed by the excellent multi-instrumentalist Ben Tucker on drums and percussion.

They have great energy live, playing a plethora of melodic, original material with a soupcon of covers, by artists that have influenced their sound, thrown into the mix; Supertramp's 'Breakfast in Amercia', David Bowie's 'Starman' and Fleetwood Mac's 'Don't Stop' to name a few.
